Alex and Scott’s elopement was full of serendipity. From beautiful chance encounters with strangers on the trail to meaningful conversations and toasts at dinner, they were able to spend their day exactly the way they wanted.

When you think of a desert wedding, normally you think of boho, cacti, and macrame. We wanted to create a more sophisticated desert elopement. In Eastern Washington, we frequently forget that the tall grasses and craggy formations seamlessly shift into sand and sagebrush — less like Southern California and more like the Columbia River.

We are in the business of elopements because of the amazing adventures we get to construct for couples on their marriage day. For couples who love the outdoors or traveling to amazing places, experiencing a new adventure is the perfect way to mark their first day of marriage.

A question that Tapestry gets all the time is: Do I hike in my wedding outfit? We say, “Do you want to?” That’s the first question you have to answer for yourself.

Red and black may not be the first colors you think of when you think “marriage”, but this palette was perfect for the glamorous and gritty styled shoot out in the Cascades.

For those who choose a big wedding, there is a lot of build up and familiar structure around the days leading up to your “I do”s. But if you choose an elopement, there is less tradition to pull from.
